Why we are here.
This website was created as part of the settlement of a lawsuit involving the death of Kyle Plush. A Qualified Settlement Fund (QSF) and an expert team have been established. The expert team was jointly selected by the Plush Family and the City of Cincinnati with a goal of helping the Emergency Communication Center (ECC) become nationally accredited, implement industry-standard tools and resources, and continually improve its delivery of services to the people of Cincinnati.
We started our work in May of 2021 and have received great cooperation from the leadership team and staff at the ECC. We are committed to transparency and will be publicly posting reports about our work and the progress of the ECC here, starting in November 2021.
Our consultation with the City is not about assigning blame, rather advocating for the needs of the community through the implementation of tools, processes, and resources which allow the staff of the ECC to perform their duties of serving the community, effectively with empathy and professionalism.
We commend the City of Cincinnati and the Plush family for honoring Kyle’s legacy by joining together to prevent another tragedy like the one that ended Kyle’s life. We are honored to help with this effort.
We encourage you to reach out via our contact information below should you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns.
Thank you for joining us in this work.
Respectfully,
Tracy Eldridge, ENP, Tony Harrison, ENP and Michael Boucher, COML
